The US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction or "SIGAR" has said that Afghanistan remains one of the poorest countries in the world as 55% of the people in this country live on less than one dollar a day.
Sigar wrote on his Twitter page that the poor people of Afghanistan spend an average of only eight dollars a year on health care.
The US special inspector has also said that the four decades of war in Afghanistan have cruelly harmed the people of this country.
On the other hand, this institution has said that the achievements in all sectors including health, education, women's and girls' rights should be protected.
This department has also emphasized that efforts should be made to strengthen these achievements and expand them in other areas that have been deprived of development and investment so far.
